DO YOU SEE OPPORTUNITY?

If you want, you can see opportunity standing right in front of you!
You may have heard some people complaining that they are not getting opportunities. But the simple answer is, “Open your eyes and see!” It’s because opportunities are everywhere. It takes someone to see them and grab them.
There is a great story mentioned in the Scriptures (Matthew 14:13-21) which shows this truth. There Jesus was ministering to thousands and the people were having no food for dinner. It is interesting to notice how differently Jesus handled the issue compared to that of his disciples. The Lord wanted to use this as a special opportunity to do a spectacular thing. But the disciples wanted to somehow get rid of the burden of caring for the people.
Jesus was often moved with compassion and met the needs of people. He never found any reason to excuse himself from helping them. As seen in the passage mentioned above, Jesus wanted to feed those who came to listen to His teachings. But His disciples said, “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish!” They saw an excuse while Jesus saw an opportunity.
Jesus, then, asked them to bring what they had. And he multiplied it! That is what He is telling us too – to bring Him everything that we have!
God is not demanding anything other than our willingness to bring Him what we have. Allow the Lord to flow through you. Every one of us can be a blessing to someone else around us.
Be a channel of encouragement. Be a giver of love. Be a maker of hope. Keep seeing opportunities, not excuses
